SUPPORTING THE ORCHESTRA

SUPPORTING THE BSO
Since 1975, the BSO has been bringing live, high quality orchestral music to Bushey. In the early days the orchestra was financially supported by Hertsmere Council, but like so much arts funding, this was cut several years ago. We currently promote a series of five concerts per year and have an annual turnover of approximately £25,000.

Each concert we promote at the Bushey Academy costs somewhere in the region of £3,000 to deliver – hire of hall, soloist fees, printing, rehearsal costs, extra players and music hire all add up, and it is becoming ever more difficult to balance our annual budget.

This page gives details of a number of ways in which individuals might support the BSO – please consider doing this and help us plan a bright and exciting future for the orchestra.

We hope to ensure a firm financial footing for the BSO today and for the concertgoers of tomorrow – with your help, as an individual or through corporate sponsorship, we know we can continue to do this.
